เมื่อวันที่ ๒๑ สิงหาคม ๒๕๕๘ นายดำรง ใคร่ครวญ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะ ตุน อาริฟฟิน บิน ซากาเรีย ประธานศาลฎีกามาเลเซีย เพื่อแนะนำตัวในโอกาสเข้ารับหน้าที่ ทั้งสองได้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลและข้อคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับระบบกฎหมายและกระบวนการยุติธรรมของไทยและมาเลเซีย กระบวนการสร้างความปรองดองในสังคมพหุวัฒนธรรม การปฏิรูปการศึกษา การเชื่อมโยงระบบการคมนาคมขนส่ง และพัฒนาการทางการเมืองและการร่างรัฐธรรมนูญในประเทศไทย โดยในโอกาสนี้ ประธานศาลฎีกามาเลเซียยังได้แสดงความเสียใจต่อเหตุระเบิดที่กรุงเทพฯ เมื่อวันที่ ๑๗ สิงหาคม ๒๕๕๘ ด้วย 

 

On 21 August 2015, H.E. Mr. Damrong Kraikruan, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, paid a courtesy call on the Right Honourable Tun Arifin bin Zakaria, Chief Justice of Malaysia, to introduce himself upon taking up his duty in Kuala Lumpur. On this occasion, the two had an opportunity to exchange information and views on various topics including the legal and justice systems in Thailand and Malaysia, reconciliation within multicultural societies in the two countries, educational reform, transport linkages, and political development in Thailand, especially the drafting of a new charter. Additionally, Rt. Hon. the Chief Justice also expressed his condolences in relation to the explosion in Bangkok on 17 August.
